That question has too many variables to have a definitive answer. Are you asking about American shotglasses or European? Are you asking about shot glasses that measured distilled liquids or shot glasses that before them measured gun pellets? (gun shot glasses)There are also other definitions (size and shape) as to what is a shot glass. If a gun (shot gun LOL) was held to my head I would say the first "shot glass" was produced in the 1830's by both the New England Glass company and the Boston and Sandwich Glass Company. The pressed versions sell for $60 to $80.
