I have found similar glasses at shops that sell "oriental" gifts. The most common "disappearing" image is called "lithophane" and the image appears when held up to the light -- I'm not sure if liquid makes it appear or not...

: I was recently on holiday and at the end of a very enjoyable Chinese meal was given a shot glass that had a picture at the bottom. When the shot was consumed the picture had disappeared!. I would love to find some of these. Has anyone got any ideas where I could possibly find some of these for sale
