: : The Baileys glass you had pictured/featured on the web site on 12/19...was tht a shot glass??!! I thought shot glasses could not have bases/pedestals.

: A SHOTGLASS-OFFICIALLY CAN NOT HAVE A BASE OR PEDESTAL/BUT MANY SHOTGLASS COLLECTORS-INCLUDING MYSELF END UP WITH AND THEREFORE COLLECT THESE STYLE. PICKVET AND GUINESS DO NOT CONSIDER THEM SHOTGLASSES

Considering the Guinness organization is in the business of determining "world" records, I would hope that they would use a more "world" view of what is (and what is not) a shotglass. Pickvet has a very American-centric view of shotglasses (they were popularized if not invented in America) and I believe that this is where Guinness gets their bias. But just because it doesn't look like a "standard" US shot, does not mean that it is not a shotglass (Both Pickvet and Guinness have declared that a shotglass cannot have a handle, yet two of the most prolific producers of shotglasses, Libbey and Federal, make mini-mugs that they call shotglasses)
