: : : : I have several Southern Airways shot glasses from 2nd year up missing a few but if you need a year send me an offer with the year you need and I will get back to you. I believe I have the 1st year because it is not marked with a year or date. But it resembles the 2nd year glass in color and design but has the word fly over southern If you know what this one is please let me know remember to send an offer with the year you need. Thanks

: : : I just purchased a 5th year and a 14th year from National Museum of Commercial Aviation for $12 each. I can offer $30 each for a 3rd year and the one you think is a 1st year.

:::I interviewed a former DC3 pilot about 10 years ago that was personally hired by Frank Hulse in 1949 to pilot for Southern Airways on the Memphis/Jacksonville run. The subject of the Southern Airways glasses came up and he assured me there NEVER WAS a first year glass. The shot glasses became a celebration of each new year BEGINNING with the second year in operation. There is NO glass for the first year, 1949, since there was nothing to celebrate at that time.
