This is incorrect, since in reliaty 35% of refractive surgeons have had laser vision correction, almost 4X higher than the general public, according to a study by Dr. Richard Duffey. Many surgeons in glasses wear them to correct presbyopia, or loss of close vision due to aging of the natural lens, which is not approved to be corrected with lasers now. Some are not candidates due to eye disease. Surgeons are MORE likely to have LASIK, because they know of the 98.5% satisfaction rate at 6 months after LASIK.
