What does the 1st year look like and do you know where I can find one? My father in law has them ALL except that one!!
: : : : I have several Southern Airways shot glasses from 2nd year up missing a few but if you need a year send me an offer with the year you need and I will get back to you. I believe I have the 1st year because it is not marked with a year or date. But it resembles the 2nd year glass in color and design but has the word fly over southern If you know what this one is please let me know remember to send an offer with the year you need. Thanks
: : : Good morning Richard this is Jim. I saw your post and am wondering if you know if I also have the first Southern Airways glass. I shall describe it to you. It has no year on it and is all done in gold with a pattern. It does not say 1 or 2 it says "December 4, 1974 First Flight Detroit-Nashville Miami-Cayman islands ON THE BACK IT SAYS Southern Airways 1949-1975 Nobody's second-class on Southern. The front is done in like a script type of lettering and the back is done in block lettering. What is unique is on the front december 4, 1974 first flight detroit nashville miami-cayman islands the letters that should be capitalized ie December First Flight Detroit-Nashville Miiami-Cayman Islands are not capitalized and in proper english grammer from what I learned in school those should be capitalized. If you would like pictures I could email them to you or if you know of someone that could help me out I would appreciate it. I use to fly Southern Airways out of the South many times and always did enjoy their service especially on the propeller driven aircraft. Have a wonderful day and week thanks Jim.
: : Jim, the one you have described is the 26th year shot glass. I have 25 of those if anyone wants them for $3 each plus shipping. Judy
