If it matches these, they were souvenir glasses etched to commemorate some event, often State Fairs. There is a Oil Field Museum in Oblong, Illinois who may be able to tell you more about your specific glass. If your glass is like these souvenirs, their website makes it sound like this glass would be from around 1906.

: I have an old shot glass from my grandfather. It has written"Oblong Oil and Gas Fields on it. It is clear glass and red glass. Does anyone know how much it is worth?
