Value is usually determined by demand -- the more people who want them, the more they are worth. Not too many people collect glasses just because they are dated (although I love them as a research aid). Most people who collect "tourist" or "souvenir" glasses prefer glasses with a picture on them, but even then, tourist souvenir glasses are not very valuable -- they are only slightly higher up the scale than "plain" glasses. I would say less than $10 each.

: Hello and thank you for educating you readers on the history and variety of shot glasses - you've created a great site!

: I have inherited two shot glasses, clear glass, etched/cut with "New York 1945" and both are in excellent condition. One is a standard shot glass with a heavy base. The other is taller and has a thinner, trumpet shape.

: Any idea as to their monetary value?

: Thanks for your time,
: D.
