I started with the same type of collection, and then I discovered Antique Malls and the older glasses with humorous designs and sayings. I still collect souvenir glasses, but the older ones are "cheezy" in a different way.

: Hi everyone. I just came across this site and figured I'd post a hello. who knew that there were others out there who collected shotglasses. I've been collecting them for about 10 years, and have somewhere between 60 and 80. I'm not a serious collector, but I do collect with one theme. Basically my shotglasses represent places. every time I go somewhere new or know someone who does, I either get or asked my friends to get me a shotglass from that place, with the place name on it. If the shotglass can have some decoration distinctive of the place, then even better (the cheesier the better). I've never thought of my collection being worth anything and it probably isn't. That's not why I collect them. It's the place names and the reflection on the locals that I look for in my pieces.
