: : : : In searching the message board archives, I've noticed a lot of interest in the Marksman measuring shotglass. I found one in an antique store in Shelbyville KY today. Are they really considered to be rare and/or valuable?
: : : Hi Al,I used to come across one now and then and had four at one time . Awhile back a lady was anxiously looking for several, stating she could'nt find them anywhere. After negotiations I sold her three at $40.00 each which she was happy to pay. So, in my mind ,considering how scarce they are , I guess the sky's the limit. If anyone comes across one at $5.00 or $10.00, Grab It !DAVE
: : Dave, I only gave about $4.00 for the Marksman measuring shotglass that I bought,so I suppose it was a bargain. From the markings on it, I'm guessing it was one of the earliest ones made. I have no plans to sell mine, but it's good to know that I made a good buy. Thanks for the info.
: Dave,
: I have been looking for a marksman simply because I think they are the easiest to use. I would like to buy one in case my current one breaks. I have a clear plastic one. My neighbor has a plastic crome one in excellent shape. If you ever find another, I would be interested in buying it.
