Two possibilities:
A 1987 Kentucky Derby 3 0unce jigger (One version is worth over $1,000 but I cannot remember the specifics -- there are two types, and I cannot find my Derby Glass catalog). Some "purists" will argue that this glass is too large to count as a shot.
I have been told the first year Southern Airways goes for $1,000 but this value is not in a book aywhere that I know of.
There are some quite valuable pre-prohibition glasses, but because of their thin sides, some purists will say these do not count. Even if they do count a shotglasses, I think the highest publicly paid price for one is $800, which is less than the value of the other types.

: Hi! I am about to write a novel and one of the main characters is supposed to be a shotglass collector. As a research, I need info on the world's most expensive shotglass, if there is any. Thank you very much! ~Clem
