Beam is one of those brands that likes to give away free "stuff" -- buy a bottle, get a free keychain or a free shotglass. They also like to make glasses that are non-standard (1979-1982 they had ceramic ones where the top and bottom were flared and the sides curved in at the middle) More recently, they made "figural" glasses -- glasses in the shape of some object, with the 1995 barrel shaped 200th anniversary glass being the latest that I know of.

Between 81 and 95 is when I think the baseball was made, and there was also a horseshoe shaped glass. There is also a cowboy boot that I think comes from before '82, but might also have been re-introduced more recently

: I recently bought this shot glass at a thrift store and would like to know it's history. If you know when and why it was made please e-mail me at wolfherd@hotmail.com. Thanks!
