Shotglass (repair)

I got this cute shotglass which a friend brought for me from Colorado (USA). Its a plain shotglass (made of glass) and it has a little coiled rattlesnake, made insome kind of ceramic, stuck inside it on the bottom. I touched it (clumsily) and it got unstuck. Can someone tell me what type of glue I must use to stick it back? I am uncertain about using "superglue" because I am apprehensive about any chemical reaction that might occur when my whiskey comes in contact with the superglue.

This is a sentimental present and I really want to restore it and drink out of it. Thanks.
