The description of the ones without the flowers sounds like glasses from a set of 4 or 6 that were popolar during the 1950s and 60s. They were made in Korea or Japan. They are fairly common and not very valuable. The one with the flower doesn't sound familiar, but glasses with flowers are not high on most collectors list of things the need to have...

: I have three pestle shaped shotglasses found in a box of things from someone's basement. One is a smoky green color and one is smoky purple. The last one is clear with handpainted flowers with gold paint along the rim which is almost worn off. The glass on all of these is very thin.

: There are no markings on the bottom of any of these. An older friend said she used to have some she's gotten as wedding presents in the 50s. But for all I know, these could be dollar store items. Does the lack of markings tell the whole story or how else could I determine how old they are?

: Thanks for any help you can offer.
