I've never looked into the "dessert" measurement, but these were for pharmaceutical/drug measurement/dosing. The "Jones Bros" is the name of the pharmacy that gave them away. Today when you buy something like cough medicine or pepto bismol, they come with a plastic cup. In the good old days, you got a glass one, with advertising on it so you would go back to the same pharmacy.

Some of these have no names, some have the names of the pharmacy, and others have the name of a specific drug/remedy. There are quite a few of these around, and they tend to be worth more in the area they are fom -- most people in California have little interest in Denville, New Jersey, while locals in Denville are more likely to want something old from their small town. I am not sure if this same dynamic works for bigger cities like Detroit -- more people in California have at least heard of Detroit...

The ones with no names go for $2-$5 wile the ones with a name are $12 to $60 (as with most collectibles, the high number is for PERFECT condition -- no chips, no flea bites, etc.)

: We have four small, totally clear glasses in the standard shotglass shape. They have graduated lines up the sides. One is only 2 13/16 inches tall and 1 1/2" top diameter. It has lines for measuring TABLE DESSERT & TEA. The front has a circle with print in the glass design that says: JONES BROS. 1709 GRAND RIVER AVE. DETROIT. The bottom says: W. T. CO. AN U.S.A.
: The other three are taller and have TABLE 2, DESSERT 1, TEA 86421 Down the graduations. It also has graduated lines for oz and cc's. (top line is 1 oz or 30 cc's). These look like they might have been for medicine shots! But why do they say 'dessert'? (table is probably tablespoon and tea would be teaspoon). These are 2 1/2" tall and 1 3/4" in top diameter. These fit in with descriptions of basic shot glasses.
