I believe that the D-in-diamond mark is the Dugan (later Diamond) Glass Company http://www.journalofantiques.com/Nov03/featurenov03.htm
The Dominion Glass company mark is an upper-case D but I do not know if they used something before this mark...

: I'm not sure what I have is considered to be a shot glass or not but in overall size it is 2.375"tall x 1.930"top dia x 1.250"bot dia. It has various measure marks in ounces, cc's, table & tea spoons. The glass is clear with no coloration and the marks are embossed as opposed to being etched. My question has mostly to do with the trademark appearing on the bottom of the glass. It has a letter 'D' inside a diamond. I was initally of the impression that this trademark was that of the Dominion Glass Co. and or the Diamond Glass Co. but am not certain and am looking for any additional information anyone cares to share with me. Thanks.
: PS...I have pic's if anyone is interested.
