Hi,
I run across your site with the page showing various glass factory trademarks found on the base of shotglasses. I can ID one of your "unknowns": It is the one you have pictured, labeled as looking like a "chesspiece". That trademark was used by the Capstan Glass Company of Connellsville, PA from May 1919 to about August 1938. (A capstan is one of those heavy iron "thingamajigs" that boats or ships tie up to alongside a dock, by attaching a rope around it. The trademark design does look something like a chesspiece though!).This information is found in an article on Capstan Glass in the magazine "Bottles & Extras" (Fall 2003 issue) which was written by Barry L. Bernas. The Capstan Glass Co. made a lot of different types of small jars, jelly glasses and product containers in clear glass. Along with the trademark there is often a number on the bottom which (I assume) identified the particular mold.
