: : I'm trying to find some information on a set of shot glasses I recently purchased. These are four brown pottery shot glasses. Two of them have faces on them. One states "poor shot". The other one states "shot to hell". One of the shot glasses is just the bottom half of person and states, "short shot". The fourth one is in the shape of a cannon and states, "gun shot". All four pieces are stamped on the back "Japan". Could anyone tell me when these shot glasses where made.
: : Thanks,

: Hi Glenda, The shots you described are from the fifties. They are part of a set of eight. The others are , Double shot(side by side), Longshot(horse head), Big shot(fat guy) and Good shot( praying). They were made in Japan. You can find them sometimes on E-Bay under collectables, bar ware, shotglasses. I think they sell in the 15 to 20 $ range. Dave

Dave, thank you for the information. Hopefully, I can come across the rest of the set someday.
Glenda
