This is one of the oldest styles and first appeared in the 1940's or 1950's, but it was made for many years, and is very common...

: Hoping someone can help me get an idea of the age of a
: Federal shot glass... It is plain, clear glass, no markings except the "F in a shield" on the bottom and has 14 flutes on the base. It is roughly 2 and 3/8th inches tall and 1 and 7/8th inches across at the top and 1 and 1/4 inches at the base.
: Not a serious collector... just curious, was given to me as a gift and I was trying to determine the approximate age. Thanking you in advance for any help/info.
